Date palm fiber ( Phoenix dactylifera L. ) is a natural biopolymer rich in lignocellulosic components . Its high cellulose contentedness lends them to the origin of tiny atoms like microcrystalline cellulose ( MCC ) and nanocrystalline cellulose ( NCC ) .
